Daxx & Roxane - Like a Swiss Clock

From Montreux, Switzerland, the city that holds every year the most famous jazz festival in the world, the four childhood friends, Cédric Pfister, Cal Wymann, Simon Golaz and Yan Vocat, influenced by bands such as Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Motorhead, decided to start a band together.  They start practicing when Cédric's father lend them a space at his youth hostel. That situation don't last long because as the noisiest band in the peaceful town of Montreux they were banned from the hostel after many complaints made by guests.

After that they start to rehearse at Cédric's garage where they begin to play their own compositions in a way to create an identity as a band. But the regular local police visits called by the neighbours end up with them been banned "again". After 6 month without a proper place to rehearse the band was invited by a group of squatters to practice and play at an abandoned house transformed into rehearsal rooms and a small concert venue. In the summer of 2010 the squatters organised a music festival to promote the local underground scene "Festivalocal" and offer the band a slot. This was the band's first public apperance but they played under the name "Airstrike".

Their live performance caught the attention of a local radio DJ who puts them in touch with a small record label (RSFM, Taemy Records) to record the first band's EP "Demolition" in 2011. After the EP's release they changed the name to Daxx & Roxane. The second EP "Heavy Metal From Outer Space", the first professionaly mastered and pressed put them on the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival'  massive outdoor stage "Music in the Park". With a new member Luca they moved to London where they played at the famous 12 Bar Club and after that released digitaly their third EP "Sex Tape". In their own words: "Daxx & Roxane has since been rocking in venues all around London in hopes to one day make it to the top!" And I bet they will! They had perfect merged their influences to deliver with originality a great heavy hard metal blues rock! For example, "Breathe" sends us from Metallica's Call of Ktullu to Iron Maiden's Killers; "The Back Door Man" is an awesome blues with a great harmonica line; and "Mad Life" two voices guitar intro and gallop during the verses reminds to Iron Maiden's first days.
